There are a growing number of sites that aggregate feeds from TV and Movie hosts.  Many of those sites are fine and quite helpful, but there are a bunch of sites that are harmful. The harmful sites will try to get information from you such as your Facebook account logon info, even though they tell you they provide links to TV shows online or to movies online for free.

You need to be sure that you only subscribe to reputable services. Movies Capital is a good movie service.  Don't be fooled by other movie sites that say they are free, but ask you to provide a bunch of personal info about yourself.  You should not give away your personal data... be very careful when you do that.  Make sure the site is for real, and not one trying to steal your identity.

Another problem with some of the sites is that they bombard you with downloads that are really Spyware or Adware. You don't need to sacrifice the security of your computer just to watch TV shows online or to watch movies online. If you visit a site that seems fancy and promises the moon, but then tries to download dangerous applications to your PC, you need to close that site and instead pick one of the many good online services for TV or movies.

If you have not done this already, you should have a good spyware protection program running on your computer. One of the best ones that has been around for a long time is called "Spybot Search and Destroy".  It is free and is updated regularly.  You can download it to your computer and then run the "Immunize" function and then the "Check For Problems". The program will protect your computer and find any spyware or adware that has been downloaded or installed.  It will delete that bad stuff for you.  If you are going to watch TV on line, or watch movies online, then you need to have this free application on your computer. You can download Spybot S&D here.  Run it once a month or so on your computer and you'll be fine.  It's a great program.

Remember, if you come across a site for movies online or TV online, you need to be sure you're dealing with a reputable site.  Don't give away your logon info for Facebook or MySpace, and always be sure you have a good spyware protection program like "Spybot Search and Destroy" running on your computer.  Watching TV or movies on your computer is fun. Be careful and use your good sense.
